Golden Ponies & Color Fields

This body of work marks a formal shift in my practice. In these paintings, I introduced two new approaches: gilded ponies and riders set beneath dense, star-filled skies, and immersive color-field compositions built from graphic grasses and foliage.

The golden figures operate like devotional icons, suspended within a Western mythology. In contrast, the color-field works dissolve narrative into flattened planes of saturated color, where landscape becomes pattern, rhythm, and atmosphere.

Together, these works move between figure and field, ornament and expanse, holding the tension between myth and surface.
